We cannot do this work alone,
and depend on volunteers
to keep the ranch operational
Harvest
Thursday harvest days are essential to keeping our agricultural programs running. Without enough hands, harvesting, washing, and packing produce becomes difficult to complete in a single day. Volunteer support on Thursdays helps ensure fresh food is ready for veterans and community partners.
Technical Assistance
Technology keeps the Ranch connected, organized, and visible to the community. When tech issues stack up, they pull focus from direct veteran support. Volunteers with technical skills help keep systems running smoothly and allow staff to stay mission-focused.
Fence Building
Safe, functional fencing is critical for protecting animals, gardens, and shared spaces. Aging or incomplete fencing limits how we use the Ranch and increases daily workload. Volunteer help with fence building directly supports safety and long-term sustainability.
Animal Husbandry
Daily animal care is a core part of Ranch life and veteran engagement. Without consistent support, routine tasks like feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animal health become overwhelming. Volunteers help ensure our chickens and sheep are well cared for and thriving.
Housekeeping
A clean, welcoming environment is essential for veterans to feel comfortable and respected. Without regular upkeep, shared spaces quickly fall behind. Consistent housekeeping support helps keep the Ranch safe, organized, and ready for those we serve.
Clerical Support
Behind-the-scenes work keeps programs moving and communication clear. When administrative tasks pile up, they slow everything else down. Volunteer clerical support helps maintain organization and allows staff to focus on serving veterans.
