It’s time to wrap up another growing season at Central Oregon Veterans Ranch!

Each fall, we clear out the hoop house after the season’s harvest—removing spent plants, clearing growing areas, cleaning up plant material, and resetting the space so it’s ready when planting begins again next year.

This annual cleanout is an important part of our growing cycle and helps us maintain a healthy, productive space from one season to the next.

We’re looking for volunteers to work alongside our Ranch team to clear this year’s growth and help us put the hoop house to bed for the winter.

No gardening experience is necessary. Just come prepared to get your hands dirty and help us finish the season strong.

What we clear today makes room for what we’ll grow tomorrow.

Saturday is the main community day of Oregon Remembers, bringing veterans, military families, and our community together to remember, honor, and connect.

Join us for a special remembrance ceremony, experience the Oregon Memorial Traveling Wall and S.S. Redside submarine replica, and visit the Veteran Resource Fair to connect with organizations and resources serving veterans and their families.

Friday offers a quieter day of reflection, education, and connection at Oregon Remembers. The Oregon Memorial Traveling Wall and S.S. Redside submarine replica will be open for viewing, providing an opportunity to honor Oregon’s fallen service members and reflect on the meaning of their service and sacrifice.

Throughout the day, scheduled student and educational groups will visit the Ranch, creating an opportunity for the next generation to learn about military service, remembrance, and the experiences of veterans.

Friday welcomes veterans, military families, students, and community members to learn, reflect, and connect in a meaningful setting.

Oregon Remembers begins with a day reserved for veterans. From noon–3 PM, veterans are invited to be among the first to experience the Oregon Memorial Traveling Wall and S.S. Redside submarine replica in a quiet, personal setting before the event opens to the broader community.

This time is intentionally set aside for veterans to remember, reflect, and connect with one another while honoring Oregon’s service members who made the ultimate sacrifice.

No registration is required, but an RSVP is appreciated and will help us plan appropriately for the day.
