Current Opportunities
Thursday Lunch Providers
Currently our biggest need!
When: Thursdays, drop-off by 11:30 am
Skills: Cook a hearty meal for 10–12 • Impact: Sharing food reduces isolation and provides our veteran volunteers a great meal and company following their work morning.
Housecleaning
When: Based on volunteer availability • Time: 2–3 hrs
Skills: None needed • Impact: Keeps the office, kitchen, bathroom, meeting, and gathering areas clean, safe, and functional, so staff can focus on serving veterans through programs.
Fence Fridays!
When: Fridays, 9am-noon • Time: 1-3 hrs
Skills: None needed; we’ll train • Why it matters: We have so much fencing that needs to be mended/updated. It's been taking a long time with one staff member working on it. We could use the extra hands!
Admin & Outreach
When: Flexible, 1–2 hrs/week • Skills: Data entry, Email/phone comfort
Impact: Keeps our important KPIs up to date and helps us stay in touch with our veterans, donors, and supporters.
Avid Gardeners!
When: This summer • Skills: None needed, but gardening experience is great!
Impact: Our Greenhouse Manager, Orion, will be on leave for 6 weeks this summer. We need a core group of volunteers to help us keep everything running smoothly while he's gone. Whether you can commit to a few hours once, to more, we'd be grateful for your commitment!
Adopt-A-Road Volunteers
When: Coming soon! - based on interest/schedules • Time: 2hrs • Skills: None needed
Impact: We're stewarding the cleanliness of the road that leads to us. We want the larger communities of Bend and Redmond to know that our community is collectively taking care of the public service ways around us.
