Our Agricultural Programs

Hydroponic Greenhouse

Operational since 2017, our hydroponics greenhouse was developed in partnership with the Oregon Department of Agriculture.

Our greenhouse produces lettuce crops, which we sell year-round directly to local restaurants and retailers like: Newport Ave. Market, Oliver Lemon’s, and Pisanos Woodfired Pizza.

We’ll be offering our greens direct Central Oregon residents in 2025!

Interested in COVR supplying greens to your to your restaurant or retail space? Reach our Greenhouse Manager, Orion Carriger.

Victory Gardens

Our Victory Garden is a thriving space where veterans grow food for veterans. We cultivate produce that is donated directly to local veteran-serving organizations such as the Central Oregon Veterans Village and the Band of Brothers — closing the loop of veterans helping veterans.

The garden produces a wide range of vegetables that support food access across our community. Veterans who come to the Ranch to volunteer, participate in activities, or simply visit are always welcome to take home fresh produce for their own use.

This shared model strengthens connection, reduces food insecurity, and honors the spirit of service that defines our veteran community.

If you are a veteran or a veteran’s organization and are Interested in finding out how to receive produce from this year’s harvest contact our Executive Director Heather using the button below.

A Place to Gather and Learn

In addition to our agricultural programs, the Ranch will host a range of other trainings, and events throughout the year that reflect what veterans tell us they want and value. These opportunities create space for connection, learning, and shared experience—both on the land and within the community.

Each month, we will host speaker sessions and hands-on trainings shaped directly by veteran feedback. Topics vary based on interest and may include financial literacy, self-care, practical life skills, or hands-on learning such as welding, fly tying, and other veteran-led workshops. These offerings continue to evolve as veterans help guide what happens at the Ranch.

On Saturdays, we welcome families, friends, and support networks of veterans to the Ranch. These days provide an opportunity for new veterans to explore the space and for their communities to see the impact and atmosphere of the Ranch firsthand.

Monthly Community Events

Community, Connection & Belonging

Our monthly community gatherings offer veterans a welcoming, low-pressure space to connect, unwind, and feel a sense of belonging. Each event is designed to give veterans something meaningful to look forward to — from seasonal celebrations like VetsGiving to festive moments such as Claus, Paws, and Community at the Ranch on December 13th.

These gatherings blend good food, light activities, and genuine camaraderie. Whether it’s sharing a meal, enjoying the animals, or simply spending a peaceful afternoon on the ranch, veterans are invited to participate in whatever way feels comfortable.

Organized by our staff and supported by dedicated volunteers, these monthly touchpoints help reduce isolation and strengthen community ties.

Curious about what’s coming up? We’d love to welcome you at the next event.
